The studio started out serving entertainment artists, under the name Artist Media Complete. Over the years it grew into a full creative studio. Today I work with families, business professionals, startups and small business owners on photography, graphic design, web design and branding.

And somewhere along the way, I started building software.

Why a photographer started writing code

Every session I shoot follows the same path: a client books, signs a contract, pays a deposit, we have the shoot, they pick their favorites, and they get their finished photos. Simple for the client, or at least it should be.

Behind the scenes, it never was. Booking lived in one app, contracts in another, galleries in a third, payments in a fourth, and every one of them charged a monthly fee. I used the big gallery platforms myself. They were good products, but I kept wishing for one place that understood the whole journey, from “I’d love to book” to “I just downloaded my photos.”

I couldn’t find it, so I built it.

PhotoEZ for WordPress

PhotoEZ is the plugin suite I built so photographers can run their whole client experience from their own website, with their own branding, and without renting it from someone else. It’s made by my software company, EJS Tech

I run my own studio on PhotoEZ

PhotoEZ isn’t something I built and walked away from. It runs Elle Jones Studios every day. When you book a session with me, your booking, deposit, contract, proof gallery, favorites and final downloads all come through PhotoEZ, the same tools I build for other photographers.

That’s also how every feature gets tested: in my own studio first, with my own clients. If I wouldn’t use it in my business, it doesn’t ship.
